Case Study: Website Copy for Therapist

September 17, 2023

After college, Leslie backpacked through Europe. By herself. Before the iPhone. (For reference, I flew to Oahu and stayed with some friends in a spacious condo on the beach.)⁣

Leslie lives and leads with her heart, whether touring the world on her own or starting a holistic therapy practice to help women own their voice and live in freedom. ✨ ⁣

In the digital age, it’s essential to have a compelling website copy, especially for professionals like therapists. I recently had the privilege of crafting the website copy for Leslie, a therapist with a unique background and a holistic approach to therapy. This project was not only about writing; it was about diving deep into her essence, her clientele, and her services to truly represent her mission.

A Holistic Therapy Practice

With the same spirit she used to traverse Europe, Leslie founded a holistic therapy practice dedicated to helping women, especially women of color, find their voice and live in freedom. Her unique combination of traditional therapy and therapeutic yoga offers both online and in-person sessions. Her approach is so transformative that she operates on a waitlist-only basis.

Our Collaborative Process

Copywriting for Leslie, a therapist, was a journey in itself:

  1. Deep Dive into Leslie’s Philosophy: I ventured beyond the superficial to truly understand her passion for helping women, her emphasis on aiding women of color, and her innovative use of yoga as a therapeutic tool.

  2. Engaging with Clients: By speaking to her clients, I was able to glean insights into Leslie’s impact. Their testimonials were not only affirming; they were brimming with admiration for her approach.

  3. Crafting the Copy: Armed with a wealth of information, I crafted the website copy, meticulously organizing the message and choosing words that echoed Leslie’s ethos.

  4. Design: Once the copy was finalized, a skilled designer stepped in to ensure the website’s aesthetics matched the power of the words.

The Unique Challenge of Writing for Therapists

Writing for therapists is a delicate balance. The content needs to be genuine, resonant, and yes, therapeutic. It’s a journey that requires empathy, precision, and deep intentionality.

If you’re a service provider looking to infuse your website with authenticity while resonating with your target audience, I’m here to help. Drop me a line at hello@corriemyers.com, and let’s embark on a journey to elevate your digital presence.
